Job details Come work for a company that cares about their caregivers as much as they do their clients! We are immediately hiring HHAs and PCAs across the South Shore of Long Island as West as Garden City and Rockville Centre to as East as Wyandanch and Bay Shore. We are looking to hire certified caregivers in zip codes 11003, 11554, 11551, 11735, 11703 / Elmont, East Meadow, Hempstead, Farmingdale, Deer Park and the surrounding areas. All caregivers MUST have received at least their first dose of a two dose COVID-19 vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. We are looking to hire compassionate, dependable, respectful, patient HHAs and PCAs to work hourly and/or live in cases. Preparing light meals, light housekeeping, oversight and supervision of the senior to ensure safety. The HHA and PCA will assist with daily living tasks so the senior can remain in their home. Candidates must be reliable, caring & experienced. What You’ll Do and Who You Are: The good news is that your training will teach you everything you need to know to succeed on the job. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go: We have a great work culture at Right at Home and look for HHAs and PCA's with a similar mindset. You're the honest, energetic and approachable type; able to get along and communicate easily with people at all levels. HHAs and PCAs who are never short of a smile and take real pride in their service; cope well under pressure and thrive on a challenge are perfect for this position. You don’t mind getting a little dirty…this could include (but not limited to) assistance with eating, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, laundry and other household chores. You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen. You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc. Must Haves: · Must be at least 21 years of age · Must have reliable consistent means of communication · Must have reliable transportation to and from shifts · Must have a high school diploma or GED · Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check from New York State Department of Health • Must have a valid and current HHA or PCA certification from New York State • Medical physical within a year and all titers (immunizations) up to date • At least one does of COVID-19 vaccination with the intention of getting second dose Nice to Have’s: · Driver's License - no car required. · At least a year's worth of experience as a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Assistant in healthcare Perks: · Flexibility!
