In Home Caregiver/Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We are actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Newberg and surrounding areas to help clients make progress toward their goals.

Job Duties and Clients' Support Needs

  • Work 1-on-1 with clients on a consistent schedule in their home and community
  • Full and Partial assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Monitor clients for safety
  • Plan and organize daily tasks
  • Provide support (including positive behavior supports) in accordance with a written service plan to help clients reach their goals
  • Document services and report to supervisor weekly

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
  • Assist with personal care
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.

  • Assist with medications reminders that the client self-administers.

What we’re looking for:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course preferred but not required.
  • One year experience as a Caregiver preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
